General
- You must accept these terms and conditions, as written here, to use this web site.
- All logos, service names, and graphics used on the site are the trademarks of Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com.com and our subsidiaries. Our trademarks may not be used in connection with any third party products or services or in any manner that criticizes or brings into disrepute Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com.com. All other brands and names (including, but not limited to, third party product names) are the property of their owners.
- We have tried to display and specify the merchandise in our web site as accurately as possible, but because we cannot guarantee that your monitor displays colors accurately, we cannot guarantee that you are seeing the actual color of our products. Also, while we will do our best to ensure there are no changes to the goods supplied, there might be minor variations to the descriptions and/or specifications, which occur through changes made by the manufacturers.
- These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement as a whole between us and govern the use of this web site. They supersede all previous written or verbal statements or agreements. All the information in our sales literature is provided for guidance and suggestion only and will not form part of this contract, unless otherwise stated in written form to you, our consumer.
- None of our customer service staff will have any authority to amend, waive and/or vary any of these terms and no amendment or addition to these terms shall be accepted unless stated to our consumer in written form.
- Goods are sold on condition that they are not to be re-sold to another party.
- To maintain our high quality standards of service we may monitor and record telephone calls between consumers and customer service staff.
- Merchandise sales are contingent to availability. If the item you seek is not for any reason in stock, you, the customer, will be informed as soon as possible. We may substitute similar inventory where an item is out of stock. We may cancel an order for various reasons including suspected fraud, as we deem fit.
Purchasing Policy:
- A customer may attempt to cancel their order immediately after it is placed but within the first business day and not more than 2 business hours of the order placement.
- After the order is placed your custom eyewear prescription is communicated to a professional optical lab and thus cannot be cancel once in production. We have no way to stop such orders.
- The right to cancel an order is waived once your custom eyewear order is transfered to our professional USA optcal labs and they start manufacturing your lenses according to your prescription.
- You must submit a written cancellation notice to us immediately if you would like to cancel your order. Notify us via phone, the number listed at the top of the page and or via the email contact form link at the top of the page.
- Changes made to your order your after the first business day or after the eyeglasses order has gone in production, as a one time accommodation a new pair will be manufactured and it will count as the customers one-time (1) return or exchange. The higher of $20 or a 20% re-stocking, order processing fee will be applied to the return of the initial pair.
- After placement of your order, we will e-mail you an acknowledgement receipt. If you did not, for any reason, receive your confirmation, please contact customer service at via the contact form at the top of the page. Note, you must provide a valid email address to receive your receipt; and should print same at the time of ordering as it is provided on your computer screen.
- When ordering you must provide us with details of your prescription in one of the various forms: scanned copy by email, copy by fax, or imputing your prescription in the fields provided.
- Your prescription must have been given to you by a registered medical practitioner or an ophthalmic optician following your eye exam and must be less than two years old from the initial time of the eye examination.
- We will use the details from the prescription provided by you, the consumer, to us to produce the lenses for your glasses.
- You may be asked for your credit card number again if additional charges apply.
- Should the sphere in your prescription be above +/- 3.00, Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com reserves the right to make the eyeglasses in a higher-index lens and additional charges will incur.
- Should your cylinder be above +/- 4.00, we will strive to produce your lenses and additional charges will apply.
- Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com reserves the right to make a change to the lens material in the manufacturing process to suit the needs of the customer’s prescription. In the event that Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com makes a change to the lens material, the customer will be notified and additional charges can and may be charged to the customer.
- If you are at all unsure of your prescription details or have questions about your prescription, please discuss them directly with an ophthalmic optician or a registered medical eyecare practitioner before you place an order with us at Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com.
- Your eye test should include your pupillary distance ‘PD’ (the measurement between your pupils). If it does not, we recommend that you have it measured by an ophthalmic optician or a registered medical eyecare practitioner. If you do not or cannot supply us with your actual PD, we will use an average PD, as recommended by qualified opticians, to manufacture your lenses. We will use a PD measurement of 59 mm for reading lenses and 63mm for distance lenses and Bifocals.
- You must be 18 years or older and not registered blind or partially sighted, to order from us at Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com.com.
- If a frame is out of stock, the customer may replace the frame in the order with a frame of equal or lesser value.
- When ordering the anti-scratch coating, be aware that no lens is scratch-proof. Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com will offer a one (1) time replacement of scratched lenses within 30 days of the purchase date for 50% of the original cost as a courtesy to our customer. We recommend you select polycarbonate lenses which are made of much harder tougher material if you have a history or concerns with scratches on your eyeglasses.
- All orders are produced according to the specifications of the customer. Should a customer fail to input a specific element for the prescription, it is not the responsibility of Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com but a one-time exchange will be given to the customer with a 20% order processing and restocking fee which is not to be less than $20.
- Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com reserves the right to cancel any order for any reason and to refund any payments you have made to us.
Prices and Payment
- We will debit your credit card when we receive your order. However, if we are unable to supply the goods to you, we will let you know in writing and refund the payment to the same card.
- All payments must be made in U.S. Dollars. This is the only currency we accept.
Shipping Policy:
- Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com does not refund shipping and handling costs.
- If a customer is exchanging a product originally sent with expedited shipment, the new product WILL NOT be sent with the more expensive expedited shipping option.
- Shipment of a product usually takes 7-14 business days but shipment of a product CAN take up to 30 days. The 7-14 business shipping time is a suggestion and in no way indicates actual shipment time.
- Once a package leaves the Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com premises, it becomes the responsibility of the package carrier – not Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com.
- If a package is damaged in transit, please first contact your package carrier then please contact Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com customer service using the contact us link at the top of the page for further assistance.
- If a package is deemed undeliverable for any reason, a new pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses will not be reproduced.
- While the administration at Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com will try to catch any missing information in an address, due to high volumes of sales – we cannot catch everyone. A shipment with missing address information may be delayed or deemed undeliverable by the package carrier and is not the responsibility of Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com. Please double check your shipping address and insure it is a valid united states postal address for USA deliveries and otherwise valid for your country’s postal system.
- If your glasses are not delivered within 30 days, please contact customer service using the contact us link at the top of the page for further assistance.
- Shipping times start once the product physically leaves our offices. Processing times are not included in the shipping time.
- Orders with standard shipping will be sent via USPS or other carrier we select only or by a standard shipping company
Shipping Delays:
It is important that you enter your address correctly as our mailing program will not capitalize, punctuate, or space for you. If your package is to arrive at a commercial address – like an office – please indicate that your eyeglasses are to be delivered in care of the company name. The postal service does not and will not recognize individuals at commercial addresses. Failure to input any part of your address will cause delays in your shipment and create added expense for your product.
Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com will not refund or exchange products that were shipped to an address that was missing information consequently making them undeliverable.
NOTE: Orders on average, can take 5-10 business days to process prior to shipment. Upgrading your shipment does not infer overnight delivery. Shipment time-frames are estimates and do not include processing days.
Return Policy
- You may return all defective items purchased at Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com.com within 30 days of the original delivery.
- The customer must fill out the return form within seven (7) days of receiving package in order to ask for an exchange or refund. Please use the contact us form, link at the top of the page, and submit the completed form including exact reason for your requested return. Once the form is received, a service representative will send you confirmation along with a return authorization code.
- You may return no more than a single frame per order.
- If a customer orders multiple frames in multiple orders within a given day, they may still only return a single item.
- In order for the return to be processed, the item must be sent back to us. Please include your shipment tracking number in the space provided on your return form.
- Should the order be defective or damaged upon receiving the order, the customer must still send the package back to Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com.
- Should the customer fail to inform customer service of their tracking information and/or the return of an item – the customer will not receive a refund.
- The returned item must be complete including the eyeglasses or sunglasses, the carrying case and cleaning cloth.
- Refunds are divided as such:
- Basic lenses: the customer may receive an exchange or full store credit or full refund minus the shipping and the higher of 20% or $20 processing and re-stocking fee.
- Special orders: customers who order a high index lens, Transitions lenses, Polarized lenses, Bi focal, Progressive, Sunglasses, Tinted and/or spherical prescriptions that are above +/- 2.50 and/or a cylinder of +/- 2.50 will get an exchange or full store credit or refund for the frame; however already customized lenses to your prescription are non-refundable. Shipping cost is non-refundable. Additionally a restocking and processing fee of the higher of 20% or $20 shall apply.
- Exchanges is defined as such:
- No shipping fees will added but the package will be shipped standard mail.
- The frame may be changed to another frame. Customers choosing a frame of lesser value than the original frame ordered will not be refunded for the difference. Customers choosing a frame of higher value than the original frame will be required to pay the difference.
- If the customer chooses to change the prescription, the customer must pay an additional 20% of the cost of the new second lens unless they choose the basic lens, for which they will pay $10.00 US.
- In the event that the customer chooses an exchange for any reason the frames may be exchanged one (1) time only for a different frame.
- Should the customer choose a frame of higher value, the difference will be charged.
- Should the customer choose a frame of lesser value, no money shall be refunded.
- Should the customer choose a refund within seven (7) days, the full amount of the purchase will be refunded minus shipping and handling costs, less restocking, order processing of the higher of 20% or $20, for the glasses ordered subjected to the parameters given above, or benefit from a replacement of equal value.
- Between the eighth (8) day and fourteen (14) day limit, customers may still receive a 25% refund for the glasses ordered subjected to the parameters given above, or benefit from a replacement of equal value.
- Between the fifteenth (15) day and the thirtieth (30) day after receiving the shipment, only an exchange of product will be given. No refund is given.
- For all orders over $100, an additional order processing, handling fee may be applied to the return. This is subject to the discretion of Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com.
- You may return all items purchased at Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com within 30 days of the original order date.
- You are responsible for all return shipping costs.
- If the product was made incorrectly by our lab or you received the wrong frame, you may exchange the order once at no additional expense to you. Please note: there will be no changes made to the original order. The new order will be manufactured based on the original prescription – not a new prescription.
- If the product was made incorrectly due to the customer’s mishandling of the information, the customer must pay for the lenses at half the price of the lens cost. If a customer ordered basic lenses, the additional cost will be $10.
- We DO NOT refund for shipping and packaging costs.
- If a package does not contain the correct shipping information, given by the customer, and is deemed undeliverable, a new pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses will not be reproduced.
- If a package is deemed undeliverable for any reason, a new pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses will not be reproduced.
- If notification is left for the customer and the customer fails to pick up their package – resulting in the package being sent back to Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com, a replacement package will not be reproduced but the original package may, if applicable, be sent back to the customer at an additional fee of $9.99.
- Once a package leaves the Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com premises, it becomes the responsibility of the package carrier – not Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com.
- If a package is damaged in transit, please first contact your package carrier, then please contact Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com customer service using the contact us link at the top of the page for further assistance.
- If a customer is exchanging a product originally sent with express shipment, the new product WILL NOT be sent express shipment.
- If a customer received free shipping and exchanges the product, a fee of $9.99 will be charged to the customer for shipping.
- Any re-order due to a mistake on either party’s side will be shipped via the United States Postal Service.
- Refunds can take up to thirty (30) days to be posted to your credit card.
- Additional charges may be applied to your credit card by your bank, however these charges are not made by Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com. They are made by your bank and we recommend that the customer clear the matter with the bank. It is not the responsibility of Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com to return additional/unspecified charges made by the customer’s bank or credit card company as these charges will not be refunded by Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com.
- Refunds will only be issued to the same credit card or account supplied for the initial payment of the order.
- For circumstances not mentioned above, please call us and we will be happy to assist you.
- All returned packages should include a tracking number; please contact us at using the contact link at the top of the page for your closest return center.
Limitation of Liability
- We do not and will not accept liability for any consequential or incidental damages that arise from outside sources and are out of or are related to the purchase of goods or services from Cheaper-EyeGlasses.com.com.
- We do not and will not accept liability in cases where customers provide us with prescriptions not suited to their condition and personal prescription. We also will not accept prescriptions more than two years old. We highly discourage customers from using eyeglasses that are not suited to their prescription.
Rights to transfer the contract
- You must not transfer this contract it or any part of it without our written permission, as it is a personal contract to you, our customer.
- We reserve the right to subcontract or assign the contract or some part of it to another company, firm, or person without written consent of you, the consumer.
Please take note of the following:
- Shipping expenses will be at the customer’s expense for refunds and/or replacements.
- You must advise our customer service team before returning a product according to the above instructions.
- All frames should be returned complete with the case and cleaning cloth as provided.
- No checks, cash, and/or prescriptions are to be included in the return package.
